How do I create an API key?

API keys are created in your company settings. Only company members can create them. You need one for the API and for the Looker Studio connector.

To create an API key:

1. Click Settings at the bottom of the sidebar.
2. Select API Keys under the Company section.
3. Create a new key and choose its scope.

A key can be scoped to the whole company or to a single project. The Looker Studio connector needs a key with Scope: Project.

Send the key in the x-api-key header with every request.

If you cannot create a key, you may not be a company member, or API access may not be part of your plan. Ask a company member to create the key for you. To check your plan, see How much does the API cost? or contact [support@peec.ai](mailto:support@peec.ai).
