What's the difference between topics and tags?

Both topics and tags group your prompts, but they work differently.

• Topics are folders. Each prompt can be in only one topic. Prompts without a topic sit in the No Topic folder.
• Tags are labels. A prompt can have as many tags as you need.

Use topics for the main way you split your prompts, such as product lines. Use tags for everything that cuts across them, such as funnel stage, persona or region.

To assign topics or tags to several prompts at once:

1. On the Prompts page, select the prompts with the checkboxes or Shift-click.
2. Click Assign topics or Assign tags.

On the dashboard, you can filter by both. The Tags filter uses AND (prompts with all selected tags) or OR (prompts with at least one).
